A demolition spade is a type of digging tool used in demolition and construction work, typically made of a heavy-duty metal like steel, with a sharp, flat blade used for digging and prying out materials such as roots, rocks, and concrete. It can also be used for chopping and cutting through wood or metal objects.
Demolition spade/wide chisels are commonly used in conjunction with any further cutting. In the majority of road construction projects, blacktop can be broken up, the foundry ladles shaken out, and used to disintegrate concrete or reinforced concrete.
